ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A cover for electrophotographic copying apparatus comprises a frame for pivotal mounting on the apparatus over a glass plate for supporting the original whose image is to be copied, the frame incorporating a relatively displaceable inner plate assembly to bear directly upon the original to urge it into contact with the glass plate; originals of different depths, including for example thick books, being accommodated by displacement of said inner plate relative to said frame which surrounds the glass plate in its closed position. A light-sealing bellows is arranged between the inner plate and frame to minimize stray light emission even upon said displacement of said inner plate.
