VERTICAL CENTRIFUGE HAVING PRE-LOADED BEARING Abstract of the Disclosure A vertical centrifuge has a minor portion of the rotor- conveyor bearing resiliently and asymmetrically biased against a remaining portion of the bearing connected to the centrifuge conveyor. The bearing effectively damps the centrifuge rotor- conveyor assembly so the assembly does not approach resonant frequency during operation. The hearing is dry and does not require lubrication.
