Ce poste comporte un disjoncteur relié à une barre par un sectionneur à commande verticale, la projection au sol des pièces sous tension du sectionneur étant située en dehors de celle du disjoncteur et étant maintenue dans un cercle dont le diamètre est inférieur à 30% de la distance d'ouverture du sectionneur, ces pièces étant placées en grande partie au-dessus du disjoncteur. Application aux postes de tension supérieure à 245 kV.
