An adapter (100, 200) for interconnecting in fluid communication a first site (27) and a beneficial agent container having a closure. The adapter includes a plate having first and second connection site sides (104). A wall (110) extends from the plate (108) from the second connection site side and is constructed to surround only the closure. This allows containers having varying sized bodies to be received. A cannula structure (120, 130) is rigidly secured in the plate and defining a flow path extending through the plate. The adapter can be provided in assembly with the beneficial agent contained or in a drug delivery system.

Adaptateur (100, 200) pour fluides servant à interconnecter un premier site de raccordement (27) à un récipient muni d'une fermeture contenant un agent utile. L'adaptateur comporte une plaque (104) présentant un point de raccordement du chaque côté. Une paroi (110) s'étendant à partir de la plaque (108) du côté du second site de raccordement entoure uniquement la fermeture, ce qui permet de recevoir des récipients de différentes tailles. Une canule (120, 130) fixée rigidement à la plaque constitue un canal se prolongeant à travers la plaque. L'adaptateur peut faire partie d'un esemble contenant l'agent utile, ou d'un système d'administration de médicaments.
