The present invention relates to an apparatus, for a ventilator type installation, comprising an enclosure having one or more sheet members, one or more of the sheet members having a stiff margin and a main sheet body, characterized in that the apparatus includes vibration attenuator mounting means for mounting one or more electric motors within the enclosure, the vibration attenuator mounting means consisting of a stiff bracket rigidly joined to a stiff margin of one or more sheet members. The apparatus may be used for attenuating noise emanating from motor driven systems which are made to displace and/or condition air.
