ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A vibration damped structure in which vibration energy is absorbed in a viscoelastic material is characterized by the viscoelestic material being formed as bores in a rigid part that is decoupled from at least a part of the structure. The rigid part bears on the structure in such a manner that it participates in vibrational oscillations of the structure. The viscoelastic material adheres to at least the limiting surfaces of the bores.
