Abstract In a vibration damper, a load-attachment unit (12) carried by a spring member (10) has an axially supported fixing screw (26) with a threaded section (24) pointing upwards. The head (28) of the fixing screw is accessible by way of openings (16, 32, 38) in a fastening part (14) supporting the fixing screw, the spring member (10) and a base plate (36) from the under side of the vibration damper. Thus, the vibration damper may also be located on those machine parts in which there is no possibility of access to the support point from above. (Single Figure).
