The invention concerns a vibration damping device comprising an energy converting element mounted on a base designed to be fixed on a structure, said energy converting device including a mobile part suspended by at least a spring. The mobile part has at least a flat centring spring (31, 32) extending between an inner region (55) having a first diameter (D¿i?) and an outer region (57) having a second diameter (De), said centring spring (31, 32) comprising at least two cutouts (50) each of which forms a branch having at least one section (51) with its cavity facing towards the outside of the spring (31, 32)
