ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shock and vibration isolator which provides isolation between components coupled therethrough in a selected plane yet permits free relative motion be- tween the components in directions normal to the selected plane is in the form of an eyebolt, the eye portion of which is provided with an annular resilient shock and vibration absorbing insert having a tubular core with a smooth cylindrical inner surface. The isolator is especially suitable for use in connecting jet engine mountings to aircraft pylon structures.
