2118905 9306635 PCTABS00021 The invention provides a locking coupling having a hollow cylindrical body (4) with a circumferential ring of axially extending radial teeth (18), a first coaxial collar (6) having a plurality of spring fingers (14) extending axially therefrom with inwardly directed, axially extending teeth overlying the teeth on said body and coaxial locking collar (8) slidably mounted on said body between two positions and having a region overlying the spring fingers (14) the locking collar (8) forcing the teeth on the spring fingers (14) into engagement with the teeth (18) on the body in one position and permitting the teeth to become disengaged in the other position.
