JONATHAN MEYERS VIBRATION RESISTANT METALLIC TIE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A resilent element extends from the interior of the locking head into the band receiving cavity. The element exerts a force on the roller, when the roller is in position to retain the band, which has a component directed toward the band, reducing the tendency of the lock to loosen when the tie is subjected to vibration. The resilent element is preferably intergral with the head and takes the form of a spring finger or a bowed spring formed when the head is stamped. Alternately, the element may be a separate part, affixed to the interior of the head wall.
