A non-invasive imaging vibrator for use in remediation of blood flow disturbances comprising a vibration source operable to generate vibration at a frequency in the range of 1- 1000 Hz and a phased array imaging transducer operatively attached to an active end of the vibration source, thereby enabling targeting of vibration via an image generated on an ultrasonic display. The preferred imaging vibrator is operable to emit vibration in the low frequency sonic range with an amplitude of about 0.1 mm - 15 mm (and more preferably at least 2 mm), such as to provide an effective transthoracic tool for acute coronary applications. In a variation, means for emitting a therapeutic low frequency ultrasonic waveform in concert with vibration in the range of 1- 1000 Hz (wherein both waveforms are simultaneously directed by high frequency ultrasonic imaging) is also provided.
La présente invention a trait à un système d'urgence pour le traitement d'un patient (20) souffrant d'une obstruction vasculaire aiguë, mettant en oeuvre un vibrateur non invasif (10), avantageusement en combinaison avec des médicaments, pour l'interruption et la lyse de thromboses, l'atténuation de spasmes (le cas échéant), permettant ainsi la reprise de la perfusion sanguine. Le vibrateur (10) est opérable dans la plage sonique à infrasonique, avec une sortie de source jusqu'à 15 mm. Dans des cas d'infarctus du myocarde aigu, une paire de contacts (12) sont avantageusement disposés pour relier le sternum au niveau du quatrième espace intercostal. La vibration est déclenchée à 50 Hz (ou n'importe quelle fréquence, de préférence entre 20 et 120 Hz), et est idéalement réglée à une amplitude (ou force) maximale considérée comme tolérable et sans danger pour le patient (20), de préférence avec l'administration d'agents thrombolytiques ou toute autre forme de thérapie. Un effet synergique est obtenu entre la vibration et les médicaments pour faciliter l'interruption de thromboses, l'atténuation de spasmes, et la reprise de perfusion sanguine. En variante, l'imagerie ultrasonore peut être utilisée pour la conduite de la thérapie par vibration.
