An apparatus and method for treatment of constipation and/or effectuating the release of intestinal gases is provided. The apparatus includes a support member having at least one vibratory element attached to the support member. An actuator, which is operatively attached to the vibratory element, moves the vibratory element in a motion. The motion is operative to promote peristaltic movements of gastrointestines so as to ease constipation and to effectuate the release of gases in a patient.
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de traiter la constipation et/ou de faciliter l'évacuation des gaz intestinaux. L'appareil de l'invention comprend un élément de support sur lequel est attaché au moins un élément vibratoire. Un actionneur, fonctionnellement attaché à l'élément vibratoire, met l'élément vibratoire en mouvement. Ledit mouvement permet de faciliter les mouvements péristaltiques des intestins de façon qu'il soulage la constipation et permet l'évacuation des gaz chez un patient.
