A screen includes two or three layers (10, 12, 14) of woven metal screen cloth. The coarsest of these layers (12) includes threads (32) which are woven into the cloth with surfaces (26) which are fusible below a temperature at which the other layers of screen cloth are heat effected. These woven threads may include each of the threads in the coarse screen cloth with the coated threads being wire with fusible polypropylene or polyethylene coatings. The coarse screen cloth may include a woven metal screen with woven elements which are either coated with fusible material or are solidly of fusible material woven periodically therethrough in at least one direction. Screens are laminated with one or two fine mesh screens (10, 14) heated on the woven screen cloth with fusible surfaces to locate the fusible material in the finer cloths.
L'invention concerne un tamis comprenant deux ou trois couches (10, 12, 14) de toile de criblage métallique tissée. La couche la plus épaisse (12) comprend des fils (32) tissés dans la toile, présentant des surfaces (26) qui sont fusibles à une température inférieure à celle à laquelle les autres couches de la toile de criblage subissent un effet thermique. Ces fils tissés peuvent inclure chacun des fils situés dans la toile de criblage épaisse, les fils étants enduits de polypropylène ou de polyéthylène fusible. La toile de criblage épaisse peut inclure un tamis métallique tissé comportant des éléments tissés qui sont soit enduits d'une matière fusible soit constitués d'une matière fusible solidement tissée, de manière périodique dans au moins une direction. Les tamis sont stratifiés avec un ou deux tamis à mailles fines (10, 14) chauffés sur la toile de criblage tissée présentant les surfaces fusibles afin de positionner la matière fusible dans les toiles les plus fines.
