A video/audio system includes an interface device (28) that receives a plurality of audio and video signals from a plurality of sources (35, 25, 22). The interface device combines these signals into various combinations and transmits the combinations to a receiver (75). The receiver is configured to interface one of the combinations of signals with a user. In this regard, the receiver (75) allows the user to select one of the combinations, and in response, the receiver separates the video signal(s) of the selected combination from the audio signal(s) of the selected combination. Then, the receiver (75) renders the video signal(s) via a display device and produces a sound defined by the audio signal(s) via a speaker. Accordingly, the user is able to control which set of audio and video signals are interfaced with the user.
L'invention concerne un système vidéo/audio comprenant une interface (28) qui reçoit une pluralité de signaux audio et vidéo provenant d'une pluralité de sources (35, 25, 22). L'interface produit diverses combinaisons de ces signaux et les transmet à un récepteur (75). Ce dernier est conçu pour interfacer une de ces combinaisons de signaux avec l'utilisateur. En l'occurrence, le récepteur (75) permet à l'utilisateur de choisir une de ces combinaisons et, en réponse, le récepteur sépare le(s) signal(aux) de la combinaison choisie du(des) signal(aux) de la combinaison choisie. Le récepteur (75) rend, sur l'écran, le(s) signal(aux) vidéo et produit, via un haut-parleur, un son défini par le(s) signal(aux) audio. L'utilisateur peut donc contrôler celui des ensembles de signaux audio et vidéo en interface avec lui-même.
