ABSTRACT First and second signals, and first and second bias levels of different magnitudes are applied to respective inputs of a level-gated-analog-OR circuit comprising a non-additive mixer (NAM) circuit. The input receiving the greater bias level is enabled thereby to convey its respective signal to the output of the NAM circuit, and the input receiving the lesser bias level is prevented from conveying its respective signal to the output of the NAM circuit. In another embodiment, the NAM circuit is used in cascade with a low cost CMOS switch to provide a cost effective switch for television signals.
