VINCAMINE COMPOUNDS Abstract of the Disclosure This invention provides new compounds of formula I, Image I wherein R1 is bromine, fluorine, chlorine, hydroxyl, lower, alkyl or lower alkoxy, with the proviso that when R1 is in the 11 or 12 position, R1 is other than methoxy, and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof. These compounds are useful as vigilance-increasing agents.
