Abstract of the Disclosure This invention is directed to cement additives comprising (1) a vinylidene chloride polymer latex, (2) a nonionic surfactant, (3) a polyelectrolyte comprising the product obtained by copolymerizing methylmethacrylate and a sulfoester of .alpha.-methylene carboxylic acid or its salt, and (4) a polyorganosiloxane foam depressant; and to portland cement compositions containing such additives.
