ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Vinyl chloride polymers containing from about 0.01 to about 20 weight parts of copper oxalate per 100 weight parts of vinyl chloride polymer, provide compositions having improved flame resistance and reduced smoke pro- duction; the compositions may be employed in the manu- facture of a wide variety of articles in which flame resistance and reduced smoke production are important, for example, wall coverings, upholstery and fabrics.
