53 ABSTRACT The present invention provides a vinyl chloride resin composition having an elevated heat distortion temperature, comprising [I] [A] a vinyl chloride resin, and [II] [B] a cycloolefin ring opening polymer or copolymer formed by ring opening polymerization of a cycloolefin represented by the formula [I], or a hydrogenated product thereof, and/or [C] a cycloolefin random copolymer of ethylene and a cycloolefin represented by the formula [I], said copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity [?], as measured in decalin at 135°C, of 0.05 to 10 dl/g and a glass transition temperature Tg of at least 70°C, Image [ I ] wherein n is 0 or 1, and m is 0 or a positive integer.
