ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a method of producing polymers and copolymers of vinyl-chloride, by suspension polymerization, in the presence of small amounts of ethylene/vinyl-acetate copolymers having a vinyl-acetate content of 38 to 55% by weight and a viscosity number of 95 to 210 ml/g, the catalyst being added to the polymer formulation in the dissolved form or being dissolved in the polymerizing vessel before addition of the reactive monomer(s). The polymers thus obtained are suitable for lowering the viscosity of polyvinyl-chloride plastisols.
