K 811 A B S T R A C T Latices giving improved wet-scrub resistance on existing paint films are prepared by copolymerization of vinyl esters of alpha-branched monocarboxylic acids with at least 0.5 to 5 wt % of a glycidyl ester of an unsaturated carboxylic acid, followed by reaction with sufficient ammonia to form aminohydroxypropyl groups.
