Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to new hydantoin vinyl ethers of the formula Image in which R1 is hydrogen or an organic radical, R2 is an alkylene group, and R3 and R4 are preferably lower alkylene groups. These compounds are used for the preparation of homopolymers and copolymers, which can be used as thickners, solubilishing agents, binders, thixotropic and agentes, complexing agents, stabilisers and so forth.
