The present invention relates to block copolymers which are mainly based on vinylcyclohexane and to a method for producing the same. The block copolymers can be processed into shaped bodies by means of extrusion or injection moulding. The resulting shaped bodies are characterised by high thermostability, good mechanical characteristics, high transparency in the visible and near-ultraviolet spectrum, particularly low birefraction and absorption of water.

L'invention concerne des copolymères séquencés principalement à base de vinylcyclohexane et un procédé pour leur préparation. Ces copolymères peuvent être transformés en corps moulés par extrusion ou par injection. Les corps moulés ainsi obtenus se distinguent par leur résistance élevée à la déformation à chaud, leurs bonnes propriétés mécaniques, leur grande transparence dans le spectre visible et dans le spectre ultraviolet proche, une biréfringence et une absorption d'humidité particulièrement faibles.
