A monofilament prepared from a vinylidene fluoride resin and having the following relationship between the modulus (Y15) at a tensile elongation of 15 % and the initial modulus (Y0): 0.85 <=(Y15/YO) <=1.3 and a Y15 value ranging from 200 to 350 kg/mm2; and a fishing line prepared from the monofilament and having such a feature that undesirable curling scarcely occurs and, even when it does occur, it can be readily relieved.

Ce monofilament est préparé à partir d'une résine au fluorure de vinylidène qui se caractérise par une relation entre son module (Y15) pour une élongation en traction de 15 % et son module initial (YO) telle que 0,85 </=(Y15/40) </=1,3 et par une valeur (Y15) comprise entre 200 et 350 kg/mm<2>. Un tel fil de pêche ne vrille ou ne s'emmêle que très rarement et lorsque cela se produit, il est très facile de lui rendre son état initial.
