ABSTRACT The invention provides an improved clip for use with a violin bow guide. The bow guide is of the type having a rod guide which is supported on a stand above the violin strings, and a rod which slides through a bore in the rod guide, the ends of the rod being attached to the violin bow. A pair of the improved clips is used for attaching the rod to the violin. The clip has a body with a bore for receiving an end of the rod, means to stop the rod from passing through the bore in the body and gripping means to hold the back of the bow. The bore is configured to permit the rod to move up and down therein, and means are provided to selectively restrict such movement.
