A virtual image formation apparatus (1000) is a virtual image formation apparatus of a game apparatus, etc., and comprises a plurality (two, for example) of input means (11: operation lever, joystick, etc.) for generating codes corresponding to operating directions, decoding means (101: CPU, controller, etc.) for receiving each code generated by operating each of a plurality of input means and allocating the operation details of a moving body in such a manner as to correspond to the combination of a plurality of codes so received, and image generation means (101, 108 to 117: CPU, geometrizer, graphic controller, etc.) for forming a virtual image reflecting the operation details of the moving body allocated by the decoding means of a relative movement of the moving body inside a virtual space. The operation state of the input device is digitally detected and the corresponding movement is allocated. Therefore, the operation of the moving body can be made freely and three-dimensionally in the virtual space without an input error.
