The virtual reader system includes a card reader and player device including a housing having a top wall and side walls; and also includes card members being insertable in the card reader and player device and containing digital information and written text and further includes an audio/video receiver device being attached to the card reader and player device and being adapted to be worn upon a face of a user for displaying the digital information and the written text from the card members.
