The virtually powered electro-muscular disruption apparatus comprises: single handheld electromechanical virtual battery charger interfaced to electronic voltage regulator and rechargeable battery to provide energy for the operation of electronic controls and a linear motor stator coil for projectile propulsion. A pistol like embodiment having distance to target measuring miniature laser and video camera in the muzzle, which is energized when the trigger is partially pressed, provides automatic microcomputer projectile propulsion speed control to the target and focused photo. A wireless rocket shaped shell electromagnetic projectile, having internal battery to power electronic pulsating high voltage for VP-EMD is internally triggered by impact; deployable barbed electrodes that cling to the target. On - off electrical discharge is optionally wirelessly remote controlled from the hand-held frame by a thumb-operated push-button; in addition a manual selector switch position for the application of VP-EMD either directly or by means of a telescopic extension; GPS and emergency wireless communications are other options.
