A method of curing an encrypted computer virus present in a computer system includes analyzing encrypted data to determine at least one most frequently occurring encrypted byte in the encrypted data, calculating an encryption key based on the most frequently occurring encrypted byte and a corresponding expected original byte of original data and decrypting the encrypted data using the encryption key to restore the encrypted data to original data.

Procédé de nettoyage d'un virus informatique chiffré présent dans un système informatique; il consiste à analyser les données chiffrées pour déterminer au moins un octet chiffré le plus fréquent dans des données chiffrées, à calculer une clé de chiffrage sur la base de l'octet chiffré le plus fréquent et un octet original attendu correspondant puis à déchiffrer les données chiffrées au moyen de la clé de chiffrage pour restaurer les données chiffrées sous forme de données d'origine.
