The invention concerns a viscosity sensor and an apparatus comprising such a sensor. The sensor operates according to the principle of measuring the fall time of a piston (2) in a measuring chamber (4) of a calibrated tube immersed in a bath. A cam (6), or any other lifting means, lifts the mobile assembly comprising in its upper part a sensing part (8), in its lower part the piston (2), and a transmitting assembly (9) transmitting to the piston the sensing part (8) movement. A sensor detects the passage of two flanges (13, 10) of the sensing part (8) and passes the data on to a regulator (31). The invention is mainly applicable to the continuous control of a quenching bath.
L'invention concerne un capteur de viscosité et un appareil comportant un tel capteur. Le capteur fonctionne sur le principe de la mesure du temps de chute d'un piston (2) dans une chambre de mesure (4) d'un tube calibré immergé dans un bain. Une came (6), ou un autre moyen de levage, soulève un ensemble mobile comprenant en partie haute une pièce de détection (8), en partie basse le piston (2), et un ensemble de transmission (9) transmettant au piston le mouvement de la pièce de détection (8). Un détecteur détecte le passage de deux épaulements (13, 10) de la pièce de détection (8) et adresse les informations à un régulateur (31). Application principale: contrôle en continu d'un bain de trempe.
