A viscous fluid type heater and a method for circulating heat exchange fluid in a heat exchange chamber of the heater. A rotor located in a heating chamber rotates to shear and heat viscous fluid, and the heat generated in the heating chamber is transferred to the heat exchange fluid. A first port is provided for introducing the heat exchange fluid into the heat exchange chamber. A second port is provided for draining the heat exchange fluid in the heat exchange chamber. An arc-like passage that connects the first port and the second port. The heat exchange fluid is introduced into the heat exchange chamber through the first port. Then, the heat exchange fluid flows through the passage, and is drained from second port, which is located at the same height or higher than the first port. Air packets are pushed out of the heat exchange chamber once the heat exchange fluid starts to flow, which improves the heat transfer efficiency.
Appareil pour chauffer un fluide visqueux et méthode pour faire circuler le fluide échangeur de chaleur dans une chambre d'échange de chaleur située à l'intérieur de l'appareil de chauffage. Un rotor situé dans la chambre de chauffage remue et chauffe le fluide visqueux, et la chaleur générée à l'intérieur de la chambre de chauffage est transférée au fluide échangeur de chaleur. Un premier orifice sert à introduire le fluide échangeur de chaleur dans la chambre d'échange de chaleur. Un deuxième orifice sert à extraire le fluide échangeur de chaleur de la chambre d'échange de chaleur. Un passage en forme d'arc relie le premier orifice au deuxième orifice. Des masses gazeuses sont expulsées de la chambre d'échange de chaleur une fois que le fluide échangeur de chaleur se met à circuler, ce qui a pour effet d'accroître le coefficient de transfert de chaleur.
