There is provided a viscous heater that is produced easily and at a low cost. A rear housing (6) comprises a rear plate (2) and a rear housing main body (3), and the rear plate (2), the rear housing main body (3) and a front housing (1) are connected in layers by means of a through bolt (5), a rear water jacket (RW) being constituted by the rear plate (2) and the rear housing main body (3).
