A vise made up of a frame (1) comprising, on the one hand, a fixed jaw (10) and a ratchet (12), the latter being perpendicular to the fixed jaw (10); and, on the other hand, a movable jaw (2), comprising a housing (3) and a jaw (4) that is mobile in relation to the said housing (3), the jaw (2) being movable in parallel with the ratchet (12) which may be blocked by a movable locking bar (6) in the housing (3), which is notched (61) at its extremity facing the ratchet (12) and is driven towards the ratchet by at least one spring (62) and can be manoeuvred by an articulated lever on the housing (3), the articulated extremity of the lever being linked to a cam (50) which rests on the posterior section (43) of the mobile jaw (4) in order to make it possible to move the mobile jaw in relation to the housing towards the fixed jaw (10).

Dispositif d'étau, il comporte d'une part un bâti (1) comprenant d'une part un mors fixe (10) et une crémaillère (12), cette dernière étant disposée dans un plan perpendiculaire au mors fixe (10); et d'autre part une mâchoire mobile (2), comprenant un corps (3) et un mors (4) mobile en déplacement par rapport audit corps (3), la mâchoire (2) étant mobile en déplacement parallèlement à la crémaillère (12) avec possibilité de blocage sur celle-ci par l'intermédiaire d'un doigt (6) mobile dans le corps (3), muni de crans (61) à son extrémité en regard de la crémaillère (12), rappelé en direction de cette dernière par au moins un ressort (62) et manoeuvrable par un levier articulé sur le corps (3), l'extrémité articulée du levier étant liée à une came (50) qui prend appui sur la partie postérieure (43) du mors mobile (4) afin de permettre l'écartement de celui-ci par rapport au corps (3) en direction du mors fixe (10).
