ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE VISIBLE FILE POCKET SUPPORT PANEL AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING SAME A pocket support panel (120) and method of fabrication thereof suitable for supporting "n" file pockets (100); and, fabricated from two plastic elements--viz.: i) a bottom (121) defining a peripheral flange (122) and including a ramp (124) having a depth approximately equal to the vertical height of the pockets (100) and extending rearwardly, but terminating short of, the rear edge of the panel bottom (121); and ii), an edge channel member (125) having an E-shaped configuration and a vertical flange (131). The flange (122) on the bottom (121) is bonded in the lowermost slot (129) in the E-shaped member (125) with the ramp (124) covering the upper slot (130) thereof coextensively with the front and side edges of the ramp (124) while leaving the upper slot (130) exposed along the sides of the panel (120) extending rearwardly from the rear edge of the ramp (124), thus providing a groove (130) for releasably retaining the hinge elements (112) on the pockets (100). Stops (136) are provided for preventing rearward movement of the elements (112) on the pockets (100) while the ramp (134) precludes forward movement thereof. The panel (120) may include a rigid top plate (132) hinged to the bottom (121).
