ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Herein disclosed is a method and apparatus to advertise and promote the sales of certain consumer goods by accompanying the visual presentation or display of a product with the distinctive odor or smell which is characteristic of its use or preparation or consumption, said odor not necessarily being usually and normally present during such presentation or display. A series of sealed containers or pouches is provided, each capable of being cut open and containing an odor producing liquid characteristic of goods visually displayed. The pouches are cut open in timed sequence and the liquid flows onto absorbent material whence an essence is blown into the atmosphere.
