Compound of general formula (I) where R represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aryl organic group, or an acyl group comprising such an organic group linked to the nitrogen atom by way of a carbonyl group; R1 and R2 are each selected from lower alkyl and cycloalkyl groups or together with the carbon atom to which they are attached form a lower cycloalkyl group; R3 represents a methyl group having .alpha.- or .beta.- configuration; Y represents a lower alkylene, alkenylene or alkynylene group optionally substituted by a hydroxyl, etherified hydroxyl or esterified hydroxyl group; and A= represents a cyclohexylidene moiety characteristic of the A-ring of a 1.alpha.-hydroxylated vitamin D or analogue thereof. Active compounds of the invention exhibit cell modulating activity and in certain cases may also have an effect on calcium metabolism.

Composés de la formule générale (I) dans laquelle R représente un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe organique aliphatique, cycloaliphatique, araliphatique ou aryle, ou un groupe acyle comprenant un tel groupe organique lié à un atome d'azote au moyen d'un groupe carbonyle; R?1¿ et R?2¿ sont chacun choisis parmi des groupes alkyle et cycloalkyle inférieurs ou forment avec l'atome de carbone auquel ils sont attachés, un groupe cycloalkyle inférieur; R?3¿ représente un groupe méthyle possédant une configuration .alpha. ou .beta.; Y représente un groupe alkylène, alcénylène ou alcynylène inférieur, éventuellement substitué par un groupe hydroxyle, hydroxyle éthérifié ou hydroxyle estérifié; et A= représente une fraction cyclohexylidène caractéristique du noyau A de la vitamine D 1.alpha.-hydroxylée ou d'un analogue de celle-ci. Les composés actifs de l'invention présentent une activité de modulation cellulaire et dans certains cas ils peuvent également avoir un effet sur le métabolisme calcique.
