The present invention provides compounds of the Formula I (see formula I) in which Formula I, n, m, R1 and R2 are as specifically defined in the specification. Derivatives of the compounds of Formula I are also provided in which at least one hydroxy has been transformed into a masked -O-acyl group, or a masked -O- glycosyl group or a masked phosphate ester group, the masked group being hydrolyzable in vivo. Other prodrugs thereof are also provided. Such compounds find use in both human and veterinary practice in the treatment or prophylaxis of autoimmune diseases, hypertension, acne, alopecia, skin ageing, imbalance in the immune system, inflammatory diseases, as well as diseases characterized by abnormal cell differentiation and/or cell proliferation.
