The invention relates to vitamin-mediated targeting for the delivery of agents and active substances in the therapy of disease. Combined targeting using vitamins essential for cancer growth are used in complexes of the invention for the amplified delivery of cytotoxic drugs to tumors and cancer cells, with a concomitant reduction in toxicity to the subject being treated.
