New and novel waterborne coating vehicles are disclosed. These vehicles are water reducible resins, produced via the reaction of the combination of hydroxyl bearing di/oligoamines (cf. Formula I), and carboxylic acid bearing resins derived from the (co)polymerization of vinyl, styrenic, and /or (meth)acrylate, monomers having carboxylic acid groups. Said vehicles are shown to be useful in the preparation of wear, water, and vibration resistant, volatile organic compound (~VOC~) free coatings, inks and paints.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux excipients d'enrobage, de type nouveau, qui sont réductibles à l'eau. Ces véhicules sont des résines réductibles à l'eau fabriquées par la réaction d'une combinaison de di/oligoamines comportant hydroxyle (cf. Formule I), et des résines comportant l'acide carboxylique, dérivées de la (co)polymérisation de vinyle, styrène, et/or (méth)acrylate, monomères possédant des groupes d'acide carboxylique. Ces véhicules sont utiles dans la préparation de composés organiques volatiles résistant à l'usure, à l'eau et aux vibrations servant de base à des revêtements, des encres ou des peintures.
