A method and system (10) are disclosed, and include issuing and redeeming a certificate over a network (20) in conjunction with an interactive voice response system (22). Information is received relating to a certificate the user is purchasing over the network (20). The certificate is created based on the received information, including the name of the merchant at which the certificate can be redeemed and a certificate identifier. The certificate is transmitted to the user over the network (20). Merchant identification is received in response to a call from a caller to the interactive voice response system to redeem the certificate. Merchant identification is validated. The interactive voice response system (22) is instructed to request the caller (24) to enter the certificate identifier if the merchant identification is valid. The certificate identifier entered by the caller (24) is received over the network (20), and the certificate is validated based on the received certificate identifier.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système consistant à émettre un certificat sur un réseau et à l'échanger contre des biens, conjointement avec un système de réponse vocale interactif. Des informations concernant un certificat acheté par un utilisateur sur le réseau sont reçues. Ce certificat est créé en fonction des informations reçues, comprenant notamment le nom du commerçant auprès duquel le certificat peut être échangé et un identificateur de certificat. Ce dernier est transmis à l'utilisateur sur le réseau. Une identification de commerçant est reçue en réponse à un appel d'un abonné au système de réponse vocale interactif pour échanger le certificat. L'identification de commerçant est validée. Le système de réponse vocale interactif reçoit des consignes pour demander à l'abonné d'entrer l'identificateur de certificat si l'identification de commerçant est valide. L'identificateur de certificat entré par l'abonné est reçu sur le réseau et le certificat est validé en fonction de cet identificateur reçu.
