A voice transmission system for a protective respirator, having a face mask (14) with an inhalation port (26) and a filter (16) attached to the inhalation port, is provided. The voice transmission system (12) comprises a microphone assembly adapted to be located between the inhalation port and the air filter, the microphone assembly including a spacer (18) for separating the filter from the inhalation port and a microphone (20) extending therefrom and into an interior space of the face mask, and a combined amplifier/loudspeaker assembly remotely connected to the microphone. The spacer of the microphone assembly provides an airtight seal between the filter and face mask. The spacer is provided with an outer surface configuration which matches the face mask on one side and the filter on another so that the microphone assembly may be attached intermediate the face mask and the filter without using any additional fasteners.
Un appareil de transmission vocale, destiné à un respirateur de protection, comporte un masque (14) facial doté d'un orifice (26) d'inhalation et d'un filtre (16) fixé sur cet orifice. L'appareil (12) de transmission comporte un ensemble microphone, conçu pour être placé entre l'orifice d'inhalation et le filtre à air et constitué d'une pièce d'écartement (18) intercalée entre la filtre et l'orifice, un microphone (20) partant de cette pièce vers l'intérieur du masque facial, ainsi qu'un combiné amplificateur/hautparleur connecté à distance au microphone. La pièce d'écartement de l'ensemble microphone, qui procure un joint étanche à l'air entre le filtre et le masque facial, présente une configuration de surface externe correspondant d'un côté au masque facial et de l'autre au filtre pour qu'on puisse fixer cet ensemble microphone entre le masque facial et le filtre sans recourir à des dispositifs de fixation complémentaires.
