Substrates are provided for use in a heating and/or blowing device that dispenses volatile material. The substrates are a porous medium (such as porous ceramic) having their interior pores coated by a polymeric material (such as a polysiloxane). The substrate is impregnated with a volatile such as pyrethrum. The substrate is less susceptible to clogging. Also disclosed are methods of making those substrates in which the polymeric material is wicked into the substrate with a volatile solvent.

Substrats utilisables dans un dispositif de chauffage et/ou de soufflage distribuant un produit volatil. Ces substrats sont composés d'un milieu poreux (par exemple une céramique poreuse) dont les pores intérieurs sont revêtus d'un produit polymère (par exemple un polysiloxane). Ledit substrat est imprégné d'un produit volatil tel que le pyrèthre. Le substrat est moins susceptible d'être colmaté. On a également prévu des procédés permettant de fabriquer les substrats dans lesquels on réalise l'imbibition par capillarité du produit polymère à l'aide d'un solvant volatil.
