A voltage conversion circuit (50) for transforming an input voltage level at an input voltage node (62) to a relatively higher output voltage level at an output voltage node (93) with respect to a common reference voltage node (56) includes an inductor (90) coupling the input voltage node (62) to the output voltage node (93) and a signal source (52), such as a linear timer integrated circuit ("IC") supplying an output signal (80) having alternating first and second states. A bipolar switch (58) having first and second current carrying terminals and a control terminal (84), its first current carrying terminal coupled to the output voltage node (93), and its control terminal connected to receive the output signal (80) from the IC. A MOS switch (60) having first and second voltage carrying terminals and a gate terminal, its first voltage carrying terminal coupled to the common reference voltage node (56), its second voltage carrying terminal coupled to the second current carrying terminal of the bipolar switch (58) and its gate terminal coupled to receive the output signal (OUT at 80) from the signal source (IC). At least one diode (86) couples the control terminal of the bipolar switch (58) to the common reference voltage node (56).

Circuit (50) de conversion de tension permettant de transformer un niveau de tension d'entrée au niveau d'un noeud de tension d'entrée (62) en un niveau de tension de sortie relativement plus élevé au niveau d'un noeud de tension de sortie (93) par rapport à un noeud de tension de référence commun (56). Ledit circuit comporte une bobine d'induction (90) couplant le noeud de tension d'entrée (62) au noeud de tension de sortie (93); une source de signaux (52), tel qu'un circuit intégré à compteur en temps linéaire fournissant un signal de sortie (80) ayant des premier et second états alternatifs; un commutateur bipolaire (58) qui possède des première et seconde bornes porteuses de courant et un borne de commande (84), sa première borne porteuse de courant étant couplée au noeud de tension de sortie (93) et sa borne de commande étant connectée pour recevoir le signal de sortie (80) du circuit intégré; un commutateur MOS (60) qui possède des première et seconde bornes porteuses de tension et une borne de grille, sa première borne porteuse de tension étant couplée au noeud de tension de référence commun (56), sa seconde borne porteuse de tension étant couplée à la seconde borne porteuse de courant du commutateur bipolaire (58) et sa borne de grille étant couplée pour recevoir le signal de sortie (OUT, 80) de la source de signaux (circuit intégré); et au moins une diode (86) qui couple la borne de commande du commutateur bipolaire (58) au noeud de tension de référence commun (56).
