ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A voltage-responsive switch is provided characterized by an irreversible change in resistance from a high resistance state greater than one megohm to a low resistance state less than one thousand ohms when activated by a voltage greater than a threshold voltage. The switch comprises a mixture of substantially pure grade copper powder and a binder. Such switches are used in sequentially firing a plurality of flash lamps.
