A volumetric airlock feeding apparatus includes a rotatable drum assembly constructed from a plurality of straight vanes and curved web segments to define pockets for receiving material to be discharged. Material discharge is facilitated by a cleaning assembly having a plurality of bars which scoop the material to be discharged from their respective pockets during operation of the apparatus. The apparatus can be constructed to have increased material handling capacity for a given size by virtue of the design of the drum assembly.
