A volumetric flow meter for calibrated selective metering of a granular substance flowing under the force of gravity has a granular substance supply at a first upstream position a granular substance screen at a second upstream position, the second upstream position downstream of the first upstream position and upstream of a calibrated granular substance meter at a downstream position, downstream of the second upstream position, the calibrated granular substance meter having an array of adjacent selectively removable apertured plates, each of the apertured plates having a plurality of calibrated apertures therein, each of the apertured plates having at least one corresponding selectively actuable shut-off valve mounted in close proximity to a corresponding apertured plate for selective covering and uncovering of the calibrated apertures.
