ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A voucher resistant to tampering, having self-contained means for verifying the authenticity of said voucher. At least two correlated identifying indicia are applied to the top surface of the voucher substrate. A layer of release coating is applied over one identifying indicia, and a cover layer (preferably opaque) of removable coating is applied over the release coating layer. The relative adhesive qualities of the layers are selected to render ordinary use of the voucher easy but tampering difficult.
