Abstract of the Disclosure A vulcanizable composition which comprises epichlorohydrin rubber and at least one amino acid selected from the group consisting of arginine, lysine, hydroxylysine, ornithine, asparagine, glutamine and cit- rulline. The epichlorohydrin rubbers of this invention, after vulcanisa- tion, find use in environments requiring oil and combustion resistance, heat resistance, and low gas permeability.
