A wall module for a car body, between an outer covering layer 6 and an inner covering layer 7, has a structure that is made of intersecting frame members 8, 9, whereby a thermal insulation 12 is provided in cavities 11 between the frame members 8, 9. To give the wall module a high budding strength, in particular in the longitudinal direction of the car body, a plurality of one-piece frame members extend in the longitudinal direction of the car body and are made of a material that has a higher modulus of elasticity than the outer layers 6, 7.

Un module paroi pour une caisse de wagon comporte, entre une couche de recouvrement extérieure (6) et une couche de recouvrement intérieure (7), une charpente constituée de longerons (8, 9) croisés, une isolation thermique (12) étant ménagée dans des espaces creux (11) entre ces longerons (8, 9). Dans le but de conférer à ce module paroi, notamment dans le sens longitudinal de la caisse de wagon, une rigidité au flambage élevée, plusieurs longerons traversants s'étendent dans le sens longitudinal de la caisse de wagon et sont constitués d'un matériau présentant un module d'élasticité plus élevé que les couches de recouvrement (6, 7).
